Best AI Sales Automation Tools Launched in 2023

There is a huge difference between existing companies launching AI features and AI NATIVE startups, companies that were launched in the era of AI and built on it from the ground up. Here are some of the newest Native AI startups.

EVERY Sales Automation tool under the sun is adding AI capabilities to their existing product offering.

This includes the biggest names:

Clari introducing RevGPT.

CaptivateIQ introducing CaptivateIQ Assist.

Zoominfo introduces new machine learning-driven Inferred models.

Outreach launches Smart Email Assist with Generative AI.

Seismic extends features of Aura, their AI Engine.

Gong introduces proprietary generative AI models.

But existing vendors have a fundamental disadvantage compared to startups that are just getting started.

For those old enough to remember, we used to refer to companies that started in the modern internet era as "digitally native".  It perfectly captured the advantage Digital Media companies had over legacy print publications. Or eCommerce brands had over brick and mortar retailers.

Digitally native brands were able to move faster in leveraging new technologies available and they fundamentally understood the space better.

At this point, companies have either adapted or died. There is no native digital anymore - we will see the exact same trajectory within AI.

The majority of the press releases you see out there are NON-NATIVE AI startups adding features to the non-AI products they already had in market. Some of these companies will do well.

But just like native digital companies had a massive advantage over the sleepy incumbent that had to figure out this whole internet thing ... the same will go for this wave of AI.

Even the SaaS vendors we considered to be young, fast-moving startups will become legacy incumbents if they can't adapt to the wave that's coming - and every market is up for grabs to the vendor that figures out how to apply Artificial Intelligence best.

The Future is Bright 😎

Looking through this list, you will undoubtedly see some overlap with solutions that currently exist in the market.

For example, Bluebirds seems to be solving a similar problem to UserGems, LoneScale, Champify, and others. And many of these products launched having nothing to do with Artificial Intelligence. So, sure - there's always going to be a bit of hype as companies look to pivot into AI and slap that term ("AI powered") onto products that don't really offer those capabilities.

However, keeping an eye on these AI Native upstarts has two major advantages.

  • For starters, they can move fast. They don't have legacy products, technical debt, or existing customer commitments that will prevent them from experimenting with anything and everything AI has to offer. A company like Bluebirds might look very similar to the existing options today and make enormous leaps in innovation as the space matures.
  • Second of all, many of the companies on this list are in their infancy. Incredibly smart Founders looking to connect with Leaders in the space to help guide their product roadmap and truly address the needs of the market. There is no better opportunity to inform of the future of GTM Systems in the age of AI.
let's build something great
